What IGÇÖm suggesting is that; being rewarded war points for spotting enemy players (as long as a team member gets the kill on that spot). Something little like 10 WPGÇÖs to actually make the Active Scanner seem worthwhile. I guess it would be similar to how spotting works in battlefield 3.
P.S. The GÇÿno margin for errorGÇÖ is annoying; as it works everytime.
You are getting plenty of reward for it.
Aren't you already getting points for rezzing, repping, dropping hives and uplinks, when your squad go after these enemies you spotted?

Yes I am getting points for above the said, but thats not the point. Sometimes I often exclusively run the Active Scanner but the point here is; currently there is no rewarded WPGÇÖs for using the Active Scanner and no real incentive for anyone to use or skill into it.
Point taken (no pun intended). I just see the possibility of exploitation.
But if you're are a serious Scanner user for squad benefit (like you are saying) then spending 3 levels into the Active Scanner skill should be required for WP reward.
Maybe giving 10-15 WP on an advanced scanner and/or 15-20 WP for a Proto scanner and nothing for lvl2 or below. This would deter anyone using the scanners just for "cheap" WP, and in turn make you more valuable to your squad.

Aren't you already getting points for rezzing, repping, dropping hives and uplinks, when your squad go after these enemies you spotted? A rather narrow minded view isn't it? I personally run assault and I use the active scanner, I also would not mind a reward. As for the OP's comment on GÇ£No margin for errorGÇ¥ being useseless, it isn't. I have seen GÇ£Some margin of errorGÇ¥ only once, but I believe this is down to nobody having skills or modules in profile dampening.
Narrow minded? I answered the OP based SPECIFICALLY on HIS role in the game, not roles in general.

I answered the OP based SPECIFICALLY on HIS role in the game, not roles in general. Specifically - A word synonymous with being narrow or closed (specific). It should be fairly obvious that other people use this piece of kit, and that the OP's situation is not the only one that could ever happen. Think about options before you post. I hope you have learned something this day. As for vehicle scanners I agree with the previous poster who said the scanners feel like 30m, they really don't stretch too far.
I don't need your smug BS words of wisdom...pal. I've been on this earth 48 years and don't have put up with the arrogant, condescending crap your dishing out.
Other than taking swipes at me, you have contributed nothing to this thread. I, on the other hand, came up with a reasonable suggestion in regards to Active Scanners, on my second post.
Stick to the topic, Junior...

I agree and stated so.
But I do not appreciate being talked down and lectured too, either. Which I think I made quite clear in the post above. Any further indiscretions on his part will be reported instead.
And Lt. Royal, you have my apologies. |
